About our company

Founded in 2018, Green Gold Farms operations began in 2020 with a team of experts in agriculture, engineering, irrigation, strategy, finance, operations, law, and accounting.

We started growing bananas at the start of 2022 with a pilot farm in Komenda.

We employ members of local communities, including women, and train them in agricultural best practices for bananas.

We utilize environmentally friendly solar-powered drip irrigation to reduce our carbon footprint.

We harvest premium Cavendish bananas available for weekly delivery.

Banana flower

Banana plants begin to flower when the plant is about 9 months old and it takes another 11-12 weeks for the plants to bloom.

Fruit production

After banana plants have bloomed they will begin to produce fruit. It usually takes about three months for the fruit to fully develop.

Harvesting

Banana plants take about three months to produce fruit after blooming. The bunches are cut off the plant while they’re still green and then will be left to ripen indoors.

Ready to sell

We are always searching for the perfect banana. In our goal to deliver the best bananas, we identify the ideal location with the most fertile grounds.
